May the Mets get swept and give Daniel Murphy a Pablo Sandoval deal in the winter. Seriously, I would have rather been swept by St. Louis. They at least deserve to win things.
I dunno man, the Mets have been playing beyond good since pretty much after the AS break. I wouldn't say they came out of nowhere.
I gotta say, that while I hate Chicago with a passion, you should all die in another great Chicago Fire (probably started by all the methane wafting around down there), I was surprised they didn't pound the Mets into an oblivion. But they're a young team and I'm sure will be right back in the mix again next season.
One thing the Cubs must do.....get Schwarber a new fucking glove or something. Dude is terrible in the field and was severely exposed in this series.
This is the kind of thing where I feel bad for the Cubs but then in the future they're going to dominate and their fans will become total fucking assholes like all the Boston fans did once the Sox were perennial contenders and the Patriots finally stopped being 2-14 (except that one lucky 1985 season).
Still, I'm rooting against KC at this point. I want to see Toronto vs. Mets. Then I have to root for the Mets because....Canada.
