It's a great story. Out of the 3 teams left, I'll be happy with who wins. I absolutely have loved this current Giants core the last few seasons and the Cardinals, even as a Cubs fan, I respect the hell out of that organization and what they do. It's the model for how to run/operate a MLB franchise.

So I am hoping it's the Giants (in a fantastic WS). But it'll be good for baseball and whomever takes it all.

No fucking chance with Bumgarner or Wainwright getting a start
Jeff Banister is the new skipper in Arlington.
And Roenicke keeps his job while a infield/1st base coach and pitching coach get the boot. What, they pick names out of a hat?
The Brewers are terrible and horribly run. But when only 17 people honestly care, why would the team?
Giants walk off to win the pennant!!!
My hopes for an I-80 Series was dashed. Ah well. Go Royals. Time to focus on my Falcons. Crap.

At least I can watch Kevin Durant...

Crap.

When does baseball season start back up?
Royals' magic is dead
Joe Maddon opted out of his Rays contract. Get him while he's hot.

Who gives opt out clauses to managers?

Quote:"We tried diligently and aggressively to sign Joe to a third contract extension prior to his decision," Rays owner Stuart Sternberg said in a statement Friday. "As of yesterday afternoon, Joe enabled himself to explore opportunities throughout Major League Baseball. He will not be managing the Rays in 2015."
