Scherzer is getting $210M over 14 years. The Nats are deferring half his contract. I hope they enjoy paying a 44 year old Max Scherzer $15M in 2029 to not pitch for them.

Banning the shift is idiotic. How do you even enforce it? Does that apply to bunts, also?
No, bunts wont apply. It'll stop teams from stacking 3-4 players on either side of the infield with the idea that more offense will be generated. I guess the argument could be that these guys are pros and should be able to hit around the shift.
