Finally A-Rod has accepted the ban and dropped the lawsuits. It is pretty obvious he realized that not only would he get trounced, pay a boat load of additional legal fees, but more importantly it would give MLB a chance in a public setting to lay out all of the evidence against him in far greater detail than most of us have seen. Better to let sleeping dogs lie and start the process of rehabbing his terrible image.

If he comes back in 2015 as a modestly productive player, he will be far better off and the Yankees can use his bat. I suspect if he truly gets healthy he can likely play 120-130 games and his talent can probably get him to 20-25 HRS and 80-90 RBI. Not great for the salary he is getting paid, but still productive.
So Selig's witch hunt was a success. Bravo, Bud. Bravo...
Jeter retires.

I guess that opens him open to a ton of amateur barnstorming.

There is one thing about this that bothers me a ton.

There is a CBA between MLB and the MLBP union that specifies that the first penalty for PED was 50 games subject to appeal. The MLBP union has allowed more than a dozen of its members to have a stronger penalty than allowed by the CBA. While only 2 players received more than the 50 games, more than a dozen others lost their right to appeal.

Any union workers out there? How would you feel if this was your union to your members?
Like I said, it's a witch hunt. Sure, A-Rod's a dick, but he's been made a scapegoat when others are worse because of who he is.

As I said when it all went down, what Ryan Braun did was a zillion times worse for everyone involved. But nope, A-Rod's hated, so they're going to force him out. Selig hates him, a lot of players do and the Yankees would love not to pay him. Baseball's a fucking joke.
hey guys remember when the blue jays were championship favorites?
epic fucking lulz
It was like the Orioles, but Canadian.
Seriously what the fuck are the Yankees doing? 52 million to Brett Gardner? Do they just want to start burning cash again?
Anyone doing fantasy?
The Dodgers
