I thought it was the outrageous ticket prices for students now as well (not just at large schools) to attend. God forbid you'd like to get a ticket as well for a parent(s) or sibling(s) to go with you. I know an extra even at NIU is up to about $30 through student services (if they even have tickets).

Also, schools have really cracked down on alcohol inside the stadium, etc.

I think there are many factors. Also, like with the NFL, watching in HD TV at home or in a bar is so nice and cheaper.
It's disgusting that it's often more expensive to attend an AMATEUR college football game than it is to attend an NFL game. I can get Jaguars tickets for cheaper than Beavers tickets.
Gators byke?
Holy Treon Harris
2/2 for 148 yards and 2 TDs. You couldn't do that on Madden if you tried. Solid debut showing.
We beat the smart kids! We beat the smart kids! Oh, well back to working for them on Monday, but I'll take a 2-0 start
It's going to be a boxing match all night. We have the offense, just hoping we can keep up in the later rounds as we don't have the depth they have.
Played well, didn't capitalize when we should've.

Try getting ND tickets. My buddy is alum and gets them from an Adidas rep for around 200.00 a pop.
